Creative Composing display continues

The Great River Arts Association presents Creative Composing, a visual art collection of poems, self-portraits, landscape paintings and other creative artworks put together by Little Falls Girl Scout Brownie Troop 610.

This group of interesting artwork is on display now at the Family Medical Center Gallery, and will show throughout the month of June.

Troop members compiled the show as they were working to earn their Try-it badge which is given to Brownies who show they can express their thoughts, ideas and feelings in different ways. Troop 610 is a group of seven girls, ages 8-10, and who have chosen traditional mediums of crayon, marker, watercolor, and collage for their works. The budding artists who make up this Brownie troop include Molly Jacobson, Madeline Jarvis, Brittney Mandery, Danel Okerman, Alyssa Piotrowski, Gabrielle Rizer and Kia Tillman, all of the Little Falls area. More information on Brownie Troop 610 is available by calling (320) 632-1942.

Alyssa Piotrowski says, “My poem makes me feel floaty. I would like to see and feel what it would be like to fly through the air and even through a cloud.” Brittney Mandery said that she likes painting because she can use any colors she likes.

Creative Composing is free for all to view during regular clinic hours: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, 9 – 11 a.m.
