Mary of Lourdes Elementary Enrichment Classes

Mary of Lourdes Elementary School held their first enrichment day on Wednesday. November 7, 2001. Staff members and parents joined together to offer 17 different classes ranging from learning to play chess to quilting. Students in grades 1-4 were grouped according to their personal first, second or third class choice. Mrs. Laureen Witt and Jackie Wise taught these students about the tradition of making quilts. Each student in the class made 2 quilt squares for the class quilt which is on display in the school’s main hallway. Mary of Lourdes School began offering enrichment classes last year following the Enrichment Triad model.
