Norbert A. Bialke, 74
Norbert A. Bialke, a resident of Foley, MN, died April 25, 2002, at his home.

Funeral services were held April 29 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, with Fr. Thomas Olson officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Norbert A. Bialke was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Alberta Township, Benton County, to Anthony and Mary (Wojciechowski) Bialke. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he returned to Gilman and began farming with his father. He married Dolores ‘Susie’ Sluss Oct. 4, 1949, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville. He also worked at Franklin Manufacturing, Donovan Construction and Bauerly Brothers. He was a life long member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, serving as an usher for over 50 years, and a life member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 9261.

Survivors include his wife Dolores “Susie” of Foley; sons and daughters, James and Penny of Minneapolis, Alphonse and Kathy of Eagan, Douglas and Pam of Stockton, CA, Deborah Bialke of Hillman, Diane Bialke – Scott of Sauk Rapids, Mark of Hillman, Beth and Kevin Kipka of Foley, Brian and Gail of Foley; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many godchildren, nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters, Lawrence of Walker, Clarence and Angie of Foley, Daniel and Delphine of Foley, Marcella Bialke of St. Cloud, Dorothy Wills of Coon Rapids; sister-in-law Gayle Bialke of Blaine, Gen Bialke of Fridley and Marcella Bialke of Columbia Heights; and brother-in-law Peter Aasen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Rita Bialke and Rosella Aasen; brothers, Roy, Benjamin and Robert; brother-in-law Tommy Wills; sister-in-law Tina Bialke and one granddaughter, Katie Bialke.

Pallbearers were his children.
