Upsala ups volleyball record to 12-1

Upsala won its 11th and 12th volleyball game of the year this past week, again needing only three games in each match.

The Cardinals shut out Pillager and Swanville.

The team now has a 12-1 season record, 7-0 in the Prairie Conference.

Upsala 3, Pillager 0
Upsala won for the 11th time Tuesday night, defeating Pillager in non-conference action 3-0.

The Cardinals won 15-2, 15-5 and 15-1.

The win gave Upsala a 11-1 mark on the year, 6-0 in the conference.

Kristi Pangrac had 13 kills for Upsala with one tip and two blocks; Megan Doran had four kills, four tips, went 19-19 serving, scoring 14 points on two aces; Kris Koroll, 11 sets, 8-8 serving, scoring six points on three aces; Kristan Voss, two kills, four sets, 8-9 serving, scoring six points; Katie Lange, two kills and one tip; and Gretchen Boeckermann, three kills, serving 9-10 and scored eight points.

Upsala 3, Swanville 0
Upsala defeated its cross-county rival in Swanville Thursday night 3-0.

The Cardinals won 15-4, 15-1 land 15-10.

Pangrac had 14 kills and five blocks for Upsala. She was also 4-4 at the service line with three aces.

Koroll was 18-19 at the service line, serving 15 points with seven aces; Doran had eight kills, one tip, was 6-6 at the service line with one ace, scoring three points; Voss had five sets, was 11-11 serving with one ace and had eight service points; and Lange had two kills, one tip, one block, was 4-4 serving with one ace and scored two points.
