Growing Christmas trees is a year ‘round job; happy buyers a number one priority

Pat Blissenbach, who owns JB Tree Farm, rural Pierz, with husband John, first became infatuated with the idea of cutting her own Christmas tree more than 20 years ago.

Pat’s infatuation has transformed today into a full-blown Christmas tree farming operation.

The retired couple annually harvest 800-1,000 Christmas trees of various varieties. To maintain supply, however, between two and three thousand new pine seedlings are planted each year.
