Sheep farmers report having good times, good prices right now

Roger and Brenda Ganz have been raising sheep on their rural Swanville farm for the past 10 years. Having started with just three sheep, they’ve since expanded to a herd of 99 animals.

Aside from replacing their herd ram every other year, the growth has come pretty much from their own raised sheep.

One chore tackled yearly by sheep farmers is getting the sheep sheared. Roger and Brenda hire Long Prairie sheep farmer Tim Kroll to do the shearing for them.
