During the latest Royals/Bulldog game, it was apparent one Swanville player had truely benefitted from the practice— Sophomore Stacey Barthel. The Bulldogs five foot-six inch forward led all players with 24 points and converted 14-of-17 chances from the free throw line. Many of her trips to the line were a direct result from her confidence to drive the lane to see what would happen. “These girls are good, but they just need to believe in themselves and get comfortable on the court,” Just said.

According to Royalton’s Makela, his team needed to just get back to playing basketball. “Last week in practice we just played basketball. We didn’t go through plays or situations, and it seemed to pay off,” he said as his team executed the fast break efficiently.

Royalton 17 9 12 15— 53
Swanville 8 7 14 14— 43
