Bulldog boys hold banquet

The Swanville Bulldogs boys basketball season drew to an official close March 29 as the team held its banquet at the Hub.

The team recognized six seniors that guided the team to a 26-10 Prairie Conference record over the past three seasons with multiple honors.

Ray Sutton was named All-Conference for the third consecutive time as he also led the Bulldogs in scoring and rebounds averaging 13 points and nine rebounds per game. He finished his career with 869 points and 766 rebounds. Senior Tyler Thieschafer averaged nine points and six rebounds per contest and finished his career with 624 points and 354 rebounds. Senior Kyle Johnson added eight points per game and had 79 steals, 89 assists and took seven charges. His career totals are 372 points, 206 assists and 126 steals. “These seniors leave a void that will be tough to fill, as they were a big part of helping us to a winning record of the last three seasons,” said Swanville Head Coach Chad Fiekema.

Junior Dylan Pittman finished second on the team in scoring average, with 11 points, and will be the leading returner.
