Apollo sneaks past Flyer tennis 4-3

The Little Falls boys tennis team remains winless (0-5 CLC, 1-5 overall) in the Central Lakes Conference after losing at Apollo 4-3, April 29.

All four singles matches went to the Eagles while the three doubles contests went to Little Falls.

Flyer junior Steve Festler played his first match in over a week due to injury. His first doubles partner Mikael Lickteig helped to welcome him back to the court by shutting down Apollo’s top doubles team 6-1, 6-1.

Each school won and lost a three set match including third doubles where the Little Falls team of Andrew LeBlanc and Paddy Stoy topped the Eagles Mack/Weslander. The match was not only decided with a third set, but two of the sets went down to tie breakers 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 7-6 (7-3).

The JV team won all of its matches going 8-0.
