Workshop to focus on education plans for students with disabilities

PACER Center, Inc. presents “Individualized Education Program (IEP),” a free program for parents of children with disabilities. It will be Thursday, May 13, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Central College Cafeteria, 501 W. Main St., Brainerd. Advance registration is requested.

The workshop offers vital information on special education for parents wanting to help their children with disabilities succeed at school. It covers:

• An overview of evaluation;

• Team planning;

• Methods for resolving disagreements with schools and other service providers; and

• Writing measurable IEP goals.
