Concerts in the Park resume June 6

Summer Concerts in the Park will once again be held at Maple Island Park in downtown Little Falls. Concerts in the Park is a program of the Great River Arts Association and is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for an afternoon of music. Concerts begin at 4 p.m. and are held every Sunday in June, July and August excepting the Fourth of July.

The first concert of the season is on Sunday, June 6, and will feature the band Boulder Roll. Boulder Roll is a folk trio composed of members Jane Henderson, Michael McElrath, and Kyrl Henderson, each an accomplished musician in their own right. All three have performed individually and with other bands since the 1970s.

Following on the heels of Boulder Roll, concertgoers will be entertained on Sunday, June 13 by The Jim Anthony Band or JAB as they call themselves. The Jim Anthony Band motto is real life, real music, for real people.

• June 20 – Michael Young; June 27 – Curtis and Loretta; July 11 – Jeremy Sanoski; July 18 – Jim Miller; July 25 – Charlie Warnberg; Aug. 1 – Paul Jensen; Aug. 8 – Rena Haus; Aug. 15 – The George Maurer Group; Aug. 22 – Juliette McCoy; Aug. 29 – Collective Unconscious.

Concerts in the Park is supported by a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council with advertising support from Bookin’ It.
