11th Morrison County Relay for Life
July 23, 2004 at Flyer Field

Darci Stavish (left) is an 18-year survivor of AML Leukemia. When bone marrow transplants were experimental, she was told by her U of M doctors that she “was the worst person ever taken for a transplant and now is the best person to show that the miracle was accomplished.” Darci receives her survivor pin from Sandy Smith, Relay for Life committee person. For Relay information contact Curt or Mary Beth Hanson, 2004 Co-Chairs at 632-4882. Relay teams having cancer survivors can arrange to have an honor roll photo taken at the Record office, by calling 632-2345, or can take their own photo and submit it to the Record. Gold and Silver sponsors to date are Pierz Knights of Columbus, St. Isadore’s Council, St. Gabriel’s Hospital, Family Medical Center, and Community First National Bank. Submitted photo
