Charles L. Parins promoted to Colonel


Charles L. Parins of Little Falls and a member of Joint Forces Headquarters-Minnesota National Guard, was promoted May 7 to the rank of Colonel according to Colonel Gerald E. Lang, presiding officer. Parins has been a member of the military for 23 years, with the majority of this time spent within the subordinate units of the 34th Infantry Division. This promotion brings a new position, that of Special Project Officer with responsibilities for the management and coordination of information and activities regarding the transformation of the Minnesota Army National Guard into Units of Action and Units of Execution as defined by emerging Army doctrine. In civilian life, Chuck is employed by the Minnesota Army National Guard at Camp Ripley as the Assistant Superintendent of the Maneuver Area Training Equipment Site. He and his wife, Peggy, have two children, Matthew (20) and Maggie (16) and reside in Little Falls. Submitted photo
