Dennis Oehrlein, 66

  Dennis E. “Pa” Oehrlein, a resident of Brainerd, died Aug. 27, 2004, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
 Services were held Aug. 31 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Rev. Bob Twiton officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
 Dennis was born June 17, 1938, in Sauk Rapids in Benton County to Edward and Helen (Damm) Oehrlein. He married Patt Stanley in Sisseton, SD, on July 2, 1960. He owned and operated a sanitation route in the Twin Cities prior to moving to Brainerd in 1967. Dennis and Pat owned and operated P and D Sanitation for 25 years, farmed, raised dairy and beef cattle, operated Oehrlein Trucking, drove and broke draft horses and gave sleigh rides in the winter. Dennis was an active member of the Northern Minnesota Draft Horse Association, Central Minnesota Draft Horse Association, Northland Teamsters and Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Association.
 Dennis is survived by his wife Patt; mother Helen Oehrlein; son Douglas and grandchildren Kenzie and Keane and great-grandson Rylee; son Daniel (Angel) and grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Nicholas, Cassie, Andrew, Robert and Rachel; daughter Leanne (Curt) Gilson and grandchildren Tyler and Tessa; Tari Jo and Roger Avery and grandchildren Jeremiah and Mallori and great-granddaughter Karlie Jo Anderson; grandson Joshua (Sarah) Oehrlein and great-grandson Jordan; grandson Matthew (Mallory) Avery; and brother Gene Oehrlein.
 He was preceded in death by his father Edward; son Dennis; sister Lois Oehrlein; and brother Darrel Oehrlein.
