Sherwood Trustheim, 68

 Sherwood Trustheim, a resident of Brooten, died  Aug. 28, 2004, at Bethesda Hospital of St. Paul.
 Funeral services were held Sept. 3 at Big Grove Lutheran Church near Brooten with Rev. Mike Dekraai officiating.  Interment was in the church cemetery. 
 Sherwood Quentin Trustheim, the son of Eilert and May Irene (Kjeldahl) Trustheim, was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Brooten.  He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Brooten High School in 1954.  Shortly after graduation, he entered active duty in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.  After his honorable discharge, he returned to Minnesota to work with his cousin in the construction field with exterior siding.  In the early 1960s, Sherwood moved to Brooten where he did construction and excavating in the Brooten area for many years.  He had also worked with many cemeteries in the area as their gravedigger.  Sherwood was married to Carol (Eskelson) Howington in 1977 and to this union Theodore was born.  He was a member of the Brooten American Legion and the Big Grove Lutheran Church. Sherwood enjoyed bird watching, gardening, playing cards, fishing and watching sports.
 Sherwood is survived by his son Ted and wife Rhonda of Brooten; six stepchildren, Bob and wife Gail Howington of Apex, NC, Mike and wife Wendy Howington of Cary, NC, Rick and wife Michelle Howington of Carolina Shores, NC, Tom Howington of Montana, Patricia Howington of Little Falls, and Robin (Howington) and husband Dave Johnson of North Myrtle Beach, SC; 18 stepgrandchildren; sister-in-law Margaret Trustheim of Brooten; nephew Todd and wife Kim Trusthiem of Brooten, and many friends and neighbors.
 He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harlan.
