To the Editor:
For those who do not have relatives or friends in the military, the war in Iraq can easily be placed on the back burner of our minds as more relevant matters occupy our day-to-day living. We must not let that happen. The war in Iraq has gone on so long now that suicide bombings, dying civilians and soldiers are just another part of the morning news, along with the farm markets and weather reports. We must not let that happen. How many lives will be lost or ruined and money wasted before we cry “enough”? Let us not become complacent or begin to feel helpless about the war in Iraq. Rather, let us increase our efforts to end the occupation and bring our soldiers home now.—Bea Britz, Little Falls.
