St. Cloud Apollo edges Flyer tennis

The Flyers swept the doubles matches but were unable to collect any singles victories in their match against St. Cloud Apollo. Little Falls ultimately lost the match 4-3.

Victory in the doubles matches was not easily attained. Both the first and second doubles matches went into a third set before being decided. In each case the Flyers came out the winners.

Little Falls also sent its junior varsity tennis team to a six-team match hosted by Long Prairie. The Flyers competed very well at the Long Prairie Junior Varsity Invitational.

Notable finishers included Kelly Stoy and Lukas Jorgensen taking first place in first doubles and Mike Hynes and Ryan Wolfe taking first place in second doubles. Matt Rouix and Butch Rakow took second place in third doubles and Josiah Tonder took third place in first singles. Rick Waltman took second place in second singles.
