Auditions slated for Pierz Summer Theater production of ‘Snow White’

Auditions for Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s original musical production of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” will be held on Monday, June 5, at the Performing Arts Center of Healy High School at 10:30 a.m. Those coming should use the main entrance on the north end of school. Up to 65 local young people are needed to play the roles of Snow White, the prince, the seven dwarfs, the mirror, the ravens, the spellbinders, the forest creatures and the townspeople. Two professional actors/directors from Prairie Fire will direct the production and play the roles of the huntsman and the evil queen.

Auditions are open to all children ages seven – 15. The audition process lasts up to two hours and all auditioners are required to be in attendance the complete time. A portion of the cast will be asked to stay following the auditions for a rehearsal session. Rehearsals for the remainder of the week include: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Friday’s – rehearsal will be held in the afternoon with a performance scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday’s second performance is scheduled for 10 a.m.
