Father Timothy Wenzel to celebrate 40th anniversary

Father Timothy Wenzel will celebrate the 40th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood Sunday, June 11, with a Mass at noon at St. James Church in Randall, his home parish. There will be an open house reception at the Falls Ballroom from 3 to 6 p.m.

Father Wenzel grew up in the rural Randall area. He was ordained June 4, 1966, by Bishop Peter Bartholome. He is the son of the late Toney and Anna Wenzel.

He has served as associate pastor of parishes in Sauk Rapids, Fergus Falls and Little Falls (St. Mary’s), and as pastor of parishes in Foxhome, Fergus Falls, Sauk Centre (St. Paul’s) and Staples. He has been pastor of St. Anthony’s in St. Cloud since 2002. He has also served as a teacher at Cathedral High School in St. Cloud, as director of the Diocesan Migrant Program and as executive director of Catholic Charities.
