Leona B. Johnson

Jan. 15, 1919, at Foley, Minn., where she attended school and spent the
greater part of her life.

Jan. 15, 1919, at Foley, Minn., where she attended school and spent the
greater part of her life.

Though somewhat handicapped, she never
lacked for something to do. She loved children and nieces and nephews
were plentiful. She also did housework for neighbors and friends.

Whenever she worked away from home. She became deeply attached to the children as her special people.

Her
first sixty years she lived with her parents, and later with brother
Ralph and his wife Phyllis. In the later years she has been with sister
Erma and brother-in-law Bob Bergstrom.


She was accepted warmly by
family and friends and appreciated their expressions of gratitude. Her
beautiful embroidery was well-known-a work she kept doing until she
could no longer make her fingers move.

Leona was preceded in
death by her parents, three brothers: Ralph, Gordon and Myron, and one
sister, Thelma. She is survived by two sisters: Erma Bergstrom (Bob) of
Milaca, and Priscilla Mohrenweiser, Silas (Gerraine) of Carol Stream,
Illinois, and Luther (Eunice) of Missouri City, Texas; sisters-in-law
Lucille Johnson of Turlock, Calif. and Phyllis Johnson of Milaca; many
nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Interment will be on
Thursday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. at Maywood Covenant Cemetery near Foley.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 29 at Milaca
Evangelical Free Church.
