ERHS relieved as NWSC won't have to add big four

The four big former Classic Lake were directed to the Lake Conference by the MSHSL, a relief to Elk River officials, because it means the Northwest Suburban won't have to take them.

Tennis: Brandell is tourney runner-up; Johnson-Ness win doubles

Elk River's Mitchel Brandell was runner-up to Grant Leisner of Anoka in a Northwest Suburban Conference tennis tournament in Elk River while Elk teammates Bob Johnson and Ryan Ness were doubles champions.

Golf: Mac Buege qualifies for junior nationals, Colton for state Open

McCabe Buege of Rogers will join his brother Colton at PGA junior nationals after winning a qualifier. Meanwhile, Colton added the State Open to his July schedule by taking second in a qualifier.
