Charlie Jablonsky enjoys woodworking’s challenges

carvercharlie.jpgTwenty years ago, Charlie Jablonsky and a friend from work talked each other into taking up woodworking as a hobby.

In the two decades since,  Jablonsky has made thousands of items, from pens to toys to clocks to baskets to furniture. "It's just a hobby that grew,? he said with a smile. See more in Associate Editor Joni Astrup's Mainstreams story in the Star News.

Charlie Jablonsky created an acrylic pen using the lathe in his home workshop in Elk River. He also makes pens from wood. "They're just so much fun to make,? he said.
