A multi-vehicle accident Friday, Nov. 20 is under investigation after the driver of the pickup that caused the incident left the scene.

A Hennepin County spokesperson says the driver of the pickup, a male believed to be in his early to mid-20s, is still at large.

The accident happened on Highway 101 and 141st Avenue at 3:26 p.m. last Friday. {instory snippet}

Witnesses say the driver of the pickup truck was driving erratically before cutting off a Kia Sorento. That driver swerved to avoid a collision with the pickup, but slammed into the back of a Dodge Neon waiting in a turn lane. A chain reaction resulted, causing several serious injuries.

Three people in the Neon had to extricated from the vehicle. One was taken to the hospital while the other two were treated at the scene.

Rogers Police Chief Jeff Luther says the driver of the Sorento had a neck injury and had to be airlifted to the hospital.

At least two others were also transported to a hospital, but it is not known where the crash victims were taken.

It is not yet known if the driver of the pickup will face charges, but it is likely he will at least face charges for leaving the scene of an accident.
