Elk River Mayor Klinzing calls for 1,000 acts of kindness

The mayor of Elk River is on a mission to make the community of Elk River a kinder place to live.

Stephanie Klinzing, in conjunction with Love Elk River, will launch a monthlong campaign on Feb. 1 called “1,000 Acts of Random Kindness.” Her idea is to have 1,000 acts of kindness committed and recorded by the end February. It’s also her hope to have some type of kindness thermometer erected in River’s Edge Commons Park in downtown Elk River to gauge progress toward the goal. She’s open to suggestions for that, or better yet a willing carpenter. See more in Editor Jim Boyle’s Star News story.
