Royal girls trip Champlin for Holiday Tournament hockey title

royalgirlsThis was supposed to be the breakout year for Rogers Royals girls hockey. And so far, it’s been just that.

With Becca Leshovsky stopping 28 shots and Kelsey Johnston scoring the decisive goal, the Royals toppled Champlin Park 1-0 for the championship of the Channel 12 Holiday Tournament on Wednesday evening. See more in Sports Editor Bruce Strand’s Star News story.
