Ham Lake invites its residents to celebrate America’s 234th birthday at the Fourth of July celebration at Ham Lake Lions Park.

The event will begin around 4 p.m. Volunteers from the Don Hansen VFW Men’s Auxiliary will be cooking all sorts of delicious food at that time.

Other volunteers will take turns sitting in the dunk tank.

The event is designed for the whole family. There will be music playing on speakers set up at the park, bingo, kids games and ultimately fireworks at dusk.

The Ham Lake Fourth of July celebration is annually organized by the Don Hansen VFW and the Ham Lake American Legion.

This will be your only chance to see a fireworks show in Ham Lake this year. Due to decreasing charitable gambling revenue, the Ham Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is only able to donate to one fireworks show, so the August fireman’s dance will have no fireworks. The chamber’s recent $10,000 donation to the city covers this fireworks show and Ham Laker newsletter expenses.
