Volleyball: Pierz remains perfect in CMC, sets up showdown with BBE

The Pierz volleyball team wasted little time or effort, Thursday, sweeping Rockford Area 25-14, 25-20, 25-11.

With the win, the Pioneers remain one of two teams that are undefeated in Central Minnesota Conference play.

Pierz’ well-rounded offense was guided by the trio of sophomores Bridget Bednar and Tia Hopkins and senior Lindsay Monson.

Bednar had 10 kills while Hopkins and Monson added nine apiece.

Junior Brook Brausen distributed 34 set assists.
